Registration

Are you ready to become a Cub Scout with Pack 227?

STEP 1 (BSA Registration): Complete the online BSA application and pay your BSA Annual Membership Fee ($160*).

STEP 2 (Pack Dues): Send Pack 227 your annual pack dues ($130) via Zelle (bsapack227@gmail.com) or bring a check (made out to Cub Scout Pack 227) to our next meeting. Be sure to include a comment with your scout's name!

FEES AND DUES

Pack Dues (2024/25) - $130 
  • Pack Dues pay for our program costs, including a pack t-shirt, den supplies, all Scouting awards earned throughout the year (badges of rank, adventure loops and pins, and other awards), pinewood derby, campsite reservation fees, event space and entertainment for the Blue & Gold dinner, and more.
  • Pack Dues are payable to the pack treasurer by Zelle (bsapack227@gmail.com) or check. 
BSA Annual Membership Fees - $160
  • BSA Annual Membership Fees are set by BSA (national) and Western Los Angeles County Council (local) and are paid directly to BSA during the online application or renewal process. These fees do not go to our pack.
  • You may elect to subscribe to Scout Life magazine (optional) for an additional $15. 
  • BSA also assesses a 3% administrative fee.

RETURNING SCOUTS

  • If you are a returning scout, your BSA Annual Membership Fees are now paid directly to BSA through an online renewal process.
  • You will receive emails directly from BSA starting approximately 60 days before your membership expiration date with a link and instructions on how to renew your membership.
  • For scouts who joined our pack prior to Fall 2023, your membership expiration date will most likely be December 31, so you should expect to receive renewal emails from BSA starting in November. 
  • For scouts who joined our pack in Fall 2023 or later, your membership expiration date is based on when you registered.
